Colorado voters approved Proposition 134, changing participation rules for school and college sports, according to The Associated Press. The state's unofficial count lists 1,344,281 yes votes (52.33%) and 1,224,507 no votes (47.67%).
The statutory measure requires teams to be designated male, female or coeducational and generally restricts participation by sex as defined in the proposal. It allows a female student to join a male team when no female team is available. Returns remain unofficial.
