Delta fuel watch: regular near $4.50, diesel near $5.67 as Colorado eases
Delta CO Gas & Diesel Watch – A Main Street Shell still lists low estimates, but broader Delta checks sit near $4.50 regular and $5.67 diesel.
Delta drivers are still seeing two different fuel pictures. The Shell on Main Street is listing estimated prices of $2.92 a gallon for regular and $3.42 for diesel, while broader Delta-area checks within five miles are closer to $4.50 regular and $5.67 diesel. The Shell figure is a station listing, not a citywide average.
Regular gas: cheap listing, higher local reality
For regular gasoline, Delta-area checks show a low of $4.42, an average of $4.50 and a high of $4.57 across six stations. That is a big gap from the Main Street Shell listing, which is why station-by-station comparison still matters before a fill-up.
Diesel: the bigger strain for work vehicles
Diesel is the more expensive side of the story in Delta. Nearby checks show diesel at $5.64 on the low end and $5.67 on average across five stations. That matters most for contractors, delivery drivers, farmers, restaurants and other service businesses that burn more fuel and usually buy it more often.
Colorado and U.S. context
Colorado’s latest AAA average as of May 31 is $4.375 for regular and $5.243 for diesel. Both are a bit lower than yesterday, when AAA listed Colorado at $4.418 for regular and $5.283 for diesel. Year over year, Colorado is still well above where it was in 2025.
The national AAA average sits at $4.336 for regular and $5.475 for diesel. That puts Colorado regular a little above the U.S. number, while Colorado diesel remains below the national average.
For Delta households and businesses, the practical move is the same: compare station by station before you head out, especially if you burn diesel. If you are seeing the highest and lowest pump prices around Delta today, share them so the local fuel watch stays current.
