MoDOT schedules mid-Missouri roadwork and flood-damage bridge repairs
The Missouri Department of Transportation has published its planned roadwork schedule for July 27 through Aug. 2 and says a repair plan has been finalized for the flood-damaged Route 49 bridge over Dry Creek in Crawford County.
MoDOT’s Central District released the information in an announcement dated July 24 from its Jefferson City office. The roadwork schedule and bridge-repair update are separate parts of the agency’s notice.
Planned roadwork schedule
MoDOT listed planned roadwork across its Central District for the week of July 27 through Aug. 2. The schedule is a plan for that period, rather than a report that work has been completed.
The agency’s announcement was issued through its Central District, which is headquartered in Jefferson City.
Route 49 bridge repair planning finalized
MoDOT said the Route 49 bridge over Dry Creek closed July 10 because of flood damage. The bridge is in Crawford County, not Jefferson City.
The department reported that it had finalized a repair plan for the bridge. Finalizing the plan does not mean repairs have been completed. The supplied MoDOT materials do not provide a reopening date.
The announcements connect Jefferson City to the Central District’s transportation planning and communications, while the reported bridge closure and proposed repair work concern Crawford County.
