ASEAN Schedules Regional Security and Transnational-Crime Meetings for Aug. 10–15, 2026

ASEAN has scheduled a series of senior-official and ministerial meetings on regional security and transnational crime from Aug. 10 through Aug. 15, 2026, according to the organization’s public calendar.

The ASEAN Defence Senior Officials’ Meeting, known as ADSOM, and ADSOM-Plus are both scheduled for Aug. 10–14. The calendar also lists preparatory meetings for the ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Transnational Crime, along with related consultations, across Aug. 10–15. The 20th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Transnational Crime is listed within that period.

The meetings bring ASEAN members and dialogue partners together on security and transnational crime as the region faces heightened maritime and geopolitical tensions. The calendar identifies several activities as virtual and lists selected venues, with some arrangements marked tentative or still to be confirmed.

The schedule does not establish that the meetings will produce a security agreement or adopt new anti-crime measures. Those outcomes would depend on later official decisions or statements. The next known step is the opening of the scheduled meetings on Aug. 10.
