Cissé hat-trick powers Milan to 4-0 Europa League win
AC Milan beat Salzburg 4-0 away on Oct. 15 to earn its first win in the 2026-27 Europa League league phase. Nineteen-year-old Alphadjo Cissé scored a hat-trick, with goals in the 15th, 32nd and 49th minutes. Gonçalo Ramos scored Milan’s fourth in the 72nd.
Reuters reported that Cissé became the youngest Italian to score a hat-trick in European club competition. The distinction is limited to that competition context.
Milan entered the match after a 0-2 loss to Benfica in its opening league-phase game. Filippo Terracciano received a straight red card late against Salzburg, leaving Milan with 10 players; the final score was 4-0.
Milan is scheduled to play its next Europa League match away to Bournemouth on Oct. 22 at 21:00 GMT+2.
