Apopka begins installation of three pavilions at Northwest Recreation Complex
Apopka began installing three new pavilions at the Northwest Recreation Complex on Monday, August 3, according to a City of Apopka Parks and Recreation notice posted July 24.
The city expects the installation to take approximately one week. The recreation complex will remain open during the work, although small areas of the playground may have limited access at times for guest safety.
Where the pavilions are planned
One pavilion will be located near Soccer Pads 2 through 5. Two additional pavilions will be located at the James Roger Griffin Inclusive Playground.
Soccer-area users may see installation activity near the pads. Families using the inclusive playground should be prepared for temporary restrictions in small sections of the play area while crews work.
What visitors should expect
The city says the Northwest Recreation Complex will stay open during construction. However, access to small playground areas may be limited during parts of the installation to protect park guests.
