Beatty’s Ford Park swim beach closed as low water levels persist

Lincoln County Parks and Recreation has closed the swim beach at Beatty’s Ford Park in Denver because of extremely low water levels. The closure removes access to the park’s swimming area for residents and visitors while it remains in effect. The county’s update does not give a fixed end date, so the beach’s status will depend on future conditions and a later county announcement.

Beatty’s Ford Park, listed at 8335 Shipley Lane, is not without all water-play operations. Its splash pad remains open for the 2026 summer season, with daily hours from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The two facilities therefore have different operating statuses: the swim beach is closed, while the splash pad continues on its posted schedule. The update leaves that daily splash-pad schedule in place.

County staff are monitoring drought conditions with Lincoln County Public Works. The county says future changes to splash-pad operations will depend on conditions and will be posted in later updates. For people planning a visit, the practical distinction is that the splash pad remains available during its listed hours, but the swim beach cannot be used.
