World of Wishes Gala 2026
The World of Wishes Gala is taking place this evening at 6:00 p.m. in the BSC National Energy Center of Excellence. This annual event supports local children battling critical illnesses, featuring inspiring stories, live and silent auctions, and engaging games. Tickets are sold out, but the community can still participate through mobile bidding for the silent auction.
Vinterfest Reading Challenge
The Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library is hosting the Vinterfest 2026 Reading Challenge from January 18 through February 21. This initiative encourages readers of all ages to explore new genres and log their reading minutes. Participants can earn prizes by completing activities and achieving bingo on their reading cards.
Homeless Point-in-Time Count
The North Dakota Continuum of Care conducted a Point-in-Time Count on January 28 to assess homelessness across the state. This annual survey helps measure homelessness levels, identify service gaps, and inform local planning and responses.
