Officer-Involved Shooting in Burbank Under Investigation
Burbank, CA — February 3, 2026 — An officer-involved shooting took place on December 23, 2025, in Burbank, California. The incident occurred around 1:20 p.m. when Burbank Police officers responded to a report of a firearm theft from a business located in the 1200 block of West Magnolia Boulevard.
Upon arrival, officers encountered a male suspect fleeing the scene while armed with a firearm. During the encounter, the suspect’s actions led to an officer-involved shooting. The suspect was transported to Providence Holy Cross Trauma Center, where he remains in critical condition. No officers were injured during the incident.
The identity of the suspect has not been released.
