Caltrans advances $8.2 million Los Alamos Highway 135 pedestrian and bicycle connection

Caltrans has advanced a planned pedestrian and bicycle connection along 0.73 miles of Highway 135 in Los Alamos, a project intended to link residential areas with the downtown community corridor and Olga Reed Elementary School.

The fire was not treated as the main development because the transportation project has the stronger sustained community consequence for how people could travel between homes, downtown and the elementary school.
