‘Hearts of Carlsbad Village’ Returns with New Activities

Carlsbad, CA — February 5, 2026 — The annual ‘Hearts of Carlsbad Village’ event returns February 7–14, offering a week-long celebration of community and local love. This year, the event introduces new activities designed to engage residents and visitors alike.

Handcrafted Glass Hearts

Throughout the week, 250 handcrafted blown glass hearts, created by Barrio Glassworks, will be hidden in plain sight around Carlsbad Village. These unique pieces serve as a reminder to explore the area and appreciate the local community.

Scavenger Hunt

On Valentine’s Day, a free scavenger hunt will guide participants through the Village, encouraging exploration and interaction with local businesses. Registration for the scavenger hunt opens next week, with 250 spots available. Each completed scavenger hunt card can be redeemed for a handcrafted glass heart.

Blood Drive

The Heart of the Village Blood Drive, scheduled for Valentine’s Day at Barrio Glassworks, has been fully booked due to overwhelming community response. This initiative supports local hospitals and patients in need, embodying the spirit of giving.

Random Acts of Kindness

On Wednesday, February 11, the Carlsbad Village Association will host a Random Acts of Kindness giveaway at the Carlsbad Village Farmers Market. Shoppers may receive a heart from the CVA team as a token of appreciation for supporting local businesses and engaging with the community.
