On Monday, February 2, 2026, an attempted robbery occurred at a Bank of America branch in Carson. An armored truck driver was shot during the incident but sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Infrastructure Improvements in Carson

The City of Carson, in partnership with the County of Los Angeles, is in the process of forming an Enhanced Infrastructure Financing District (EIFD). The EIFD encompasses approximately 1,735 acres, representing about 14% of the city’s total area. The Public Financing Authority oversees the creation of the Carson EIFD and is responsible for adopting the final Infrastructure Financing Plan.
