The CDC says the recalled product was shipped to Publix retail stores throughout 8 states.

What CDC says to do now

CDC instructs consumers to:

• Do not eat any recalled frozen blueberries—throw them away or return them to where you bought them.
• Wash items and surfaces that may have touched the recalled blueberries using hot, soapy water or a dishwasher.

FDA’s recall notice also says the product should be discarded or returned for a full refund.

Severe symptom warning signs—get medical care promptly

CDC says to call a healthcare provider if you (or someone you care for) has severe E. coli symptoms after a possible exposure:

• Diarrhea and a fever higher than 102°F
• Diarrhea for more than 3 days that is not improving
• Bloody diarrhea
• So much vomiting that you cannot keep liquids down
• Signs of dehydration, such as:
  • Not peeing much
  • Dry mouth and throat
  • Feeling dizzy when standing up

If you think you ate the recalled product, tell the clinician you may have had E. coli exposure from recalled frozen blueberries.
