Central Tech packet shows Drumright campus leadership, staffing changes
Central Tech’s June 9 board packet points to a leadership change at the Drumright campus for the new fiscal year. The packet lists Nancy Overton, previously director of Partner School Extension districtwide, for a lateral transfer to campus director at Drumright effective July 1, 2026.
The same packet also lists Shane Bruce for a districtwide assistant superintendent role effective July 1. Earlier in the agenda, Bruce appears on the Drumright campus update line, which makes the personnel handoff part of a broader district staffing move rather than an isolated change.
Beyond the top job change, the packet includes several Drumright-specific items for FY27: an Adult Career Development secretary position, temporary support for special education and 504 work, short-term help for biomedical and industrial automation classes, summer training for welding, automotive, and diesel instructors, maintenance support, truck driver training staff, and a recruitment coordinator assignment.
For Drumright students, parents, workers, and local employers, the practical question is continuity. Central Tech’s site shows the Drumright campus is active and still offers high-visibility programs such as practical nursing, so staffing and leadership changes can affect scheduling, support services, and program operations.
The clearest public record right now is the packet itself. Residents watching the campus should look for board minutes or later personnel updates to confirm whether the listed items were approved without changes.
