Clearwater, FL — February 5, 2026 — A woman was arrested after attempting to shoot a security guard at a local smoke shop. Authorities say Kelley Karabinos, 36, was escorted out of the store on Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard following an argument. She then retrieved a firearm from her vehicle and aimed it at the security guard, attempting to fire multiple times; however, the gun malfunctioned. Karabinos faces charges including aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. She was taken into custody shortly before midnight.
