Crocker voters: Check your ballot before Missouri’s Aug. 4 primary

Crocker voters have only a few days left to confirm their voting information before Missouri’s Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2026, primary election.

Pulaski County Elections has posted a combined sample ballot, but the county says a voter’s actual ballot is determined by the address where that voter is registered. Crocker residents should not assume that every voter in the city will see the same contests or issues.

What ballot can Missouri voters request?

The Missouri Secretary of State says voters in the primary may select a party ballot of their choice. Missouri’s three established parties are Republican, Democratic and Libertarian. Voters who do not wish to select a party ballot may request a ballot containing other issues if their jurisdiction’s ballot includes issues.

Because ballot contents can vary by jurisdiction and registered address, voters should review the county’s sample-ballot information but use their own address-specific information as the final guide.

Four amendments are certified for the August ballot

The Secretary of State’s official ballot-measures page lists four constitutional amendments certified for the Aug. 4 primary: Amendments 1, 2, 4 and 5.

Amendment 1 would continue for 10 years the existing one-tenth-of-one-percent sales and use tax used for soil and water conservation, state parks and historic sites.

Amendment 2 concerns requiring charter counties to elect county assessors and requiring those assessors to comply with training requirements established by state law.

Amendment 4 would change the approval process for citizen-initiative petitions that amend the Missouri Constitution by requiring a majority of voters in each congressional district. It also would make the full text of initiative petitions available with ballots.

Amendment 5 would require a legislative phase-out of the individual state income tax based on revenue growth, authorize changes involving sales and use taxes, and address constitutional limits on taxing goods and services and certain local tax rates.

Amendment 3 is not part of the August primary. The Secretary of State lists it for the Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026, general election.

Registration and polling-place checklist

The registration deadline for the Aug. 4 primary was July 8, 2026. Voters who are already registered should still verify that their address and registration information are current.

• Check your registration information before Election Day.
• Review the Pulaski County combined sample ballot, remembering that it is not an individualized final ballot.
• Confirm the polling location assigned to your registered address through Pulaski County Elections.
• Bring the identification required under Missouri voting rules and allow time to review the ballot before voting.

The county’s Election Day page lists First Baptist Church at 600 N. Commercial Street in Crocker as a polling place and says voting locations are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. The same page says where a person votes is determined by registration location and directs voters who are unsure of their precinct to call the Pulaski County Clerk’s Office at (573) 774-4701.

For Crocker residents, the key step before Aug. 4 is to rely on address-specific county information rather than a general sample ballot or an assumed polling place.
