Custer County listed Westcliffe courthouse as 2026 primary voting center
Custer County’s 2026 primary-election schedule identified the Custer County Courthouse in Westcliffe as the county’s voter service and polling center, giving local voters a central location for registration, replacement ballots and accessible voting.
The listed center was at 205 S. 6th St., Westcliffe, CO 81252. The Custer County Clerk and Recorder was identified as the county’s election administrator.
Ballot and voting schedule
According to the county’s schedule, ballots were set to be mailed during the week of June 8-12, 2026. June 22 was the last day ballots could be mailed to voters.
The voter service and polling center was scheduled to operate from June 22 through June 30. Primary Election Day was June 30, 2026.
That schedule gave voters several ways to address common voting needs before the primary. The Westcliffe center offered voter registration and replacement ballots, in addition to an ADA-accessible voting machine.
What the listing means for Custer County voters
The courthouse was listed as the countywide voter service and polling location. That designation identifies where voters could receive the services described in the notice; it does not mean every Custer County resident lives in Westcliffe.
For voters who needed to register, replace a ballot or use accessible voting equipment, the county’s notice pointed to the courthouse during the June 22-30 operating period. Voters who received ballots by mail had a June 22 mailing deadline under the published schedule.
The development was a public-service and election-record update rather than a report of a contested result. The county page did not provide turnout figures, final results or a post-election audit in the material reviewed on Aug. 6, 2026.
The Town of Westcliffe separately identifies its municipal headquarters at 1000 Main Street and normally holds town board meetings on the third Tuesday of each month. Its 2026 meeting-record archive did not show a newer substantive August action in the material reviewed. That municipal information is separate from the county’s primary-election administration.
For the 2026 primary, the county’s published timeline therefore centered voter services at the Westcliffe courthouse, with ballot mailing beginning June 8, in-person services beginning June 22 and the primary occurring June 30.
