Escondido, CA — February 5, 2026 — The Escondido Community Foundation (ECF) has awarded $203,000 to nine local nonprofits, focusing on programs for seniors. The grants aim to combat elder fraud, reduce social isolation, and improve access to basic necessities for Escondido’s growing senior population.
Grant Recipients
- Assistance League of Inland North County – Project Seniors: Provides meals and interactive programs for low-income seniors in residential facilities.
- CCAE Theatricals – Uniendo: Intergenerational Storytelling: Offers storytelling workshops to bridge generational gaps.
- Escondido Senior Center – Senior Wellness Program: Enhances physical and mental health through various activities.
- North County Lifeline – Senior Outreach Services: Delivers support services to isolated seniors.
- Interfaith Community Services – Senior Nutrition Program: Provides nutritious meals to seniors in need.
- Escondido Public Library – Senior Literacy Initiative: Offers literacy programs tailored for seniors.
