Gas Explosion in Hayward’s Ashland Neighborhood
On December 11, 2025, a gas explosion occurred in Hayward’s Ashland neighborhood, injuring six people and destroying a home. The explosion was captured on a doorbell camera, showing a large excavator digging near the home moments before the blast. The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the incident.
