Jupiter Council Hearing Set for 23-Unit Seaglass Proposal

Jupiter Town Council is scheduled to hold a public hearing Aug. 18 on an amendment that could allow the proposed 23-unit Seaglass development at 105 Rich Circle to be built either entirely as rental housing or entirely as for-sale condominiums.

The hearing is set for 7 p.m. at the Town of Jupiter Municipal Complex, 210 Military Trail. The proposal remains under consideration; the town’s notice does not establish that the amendment has been approved or that construction has begun.

For residents tracking a relatively small multifamily proposal, the key issue before the town is not an increase in the stated unit count. The notice identifies 23 multifamily residential units. Instead, the requested amendment concerns the ownership or rental format that would be allowed for all of those units.

Proposal covers nearly 3 acres

Seaglass is proposed on approximately 2.93 acres at 105 Rich Circle. The property was formerly identified as 550 Bush Road in the town’s notice.

Richbuilt of Jupiter LLC is listed as the applicant. The requested amendment would allow the project’s units to be entirely rental homes or entirely for-sale condominiums. The notice does not identify a final choice between those two options, a mix of unit types, or any conditions that might accompany an eventual decision.

That distinction matters because the amendment addresses the form of the proposed multifamily housing, rather than presenting the project as a completed development. The Town Council hearing is a scheduled step in the town’s formal land-use review, not a record of final approval.

Two hearings were listed in the town notice

The Town of Jupiter’s public hearing notice, issued June 25, listed two hearings for the amendment. A Planning and Zoning Commission hearing was scheduled for July 14, followed by the Town Council hearing on Aug. 18.

The cited notice does not say whether the Planning and Zoning Commission approved, denied or otherwise acted on the amendment at its July meeting. It also does not report a recommendation from that body. Readers should not treat the scheduled commission hearing as confirmation of an outcome.

The next stated hearing is the Town Council meeting at 7 p.m. Aug. 18. Both hearings were listed for the Municipal Complex at 210 Military Trail.

What remains undecided
