Lancaster, CA — February 5, 2026 — The Lancaster Police Department conducted targeted operations along Sierra Highway, resulting in multiple arrests and vehicle impounds.
Targeted Enforcement Along Sierra Highway
The Lancaster Police Department (LPD) recently conducted two operations targeting solicitation activities along Sierra Highway, addressing community concerns about prostitution and related crimes in the area between Avenue L and Avenue M.
Details of the Operations
On October 22, 2025, officers observed several vehicles engaging in solicitation. Two individuals were detained, arrested, and booked for solicitation, and their vehicles were impounded. A follow-up operation on October 27, 2025, resulted in five additional arrests for offenses including solicitation for prostitution, indecent exposure, driving on a suspended license, and DUI. Four vehicles, including one RV, were also towed as part of this operation.
Community Impact
Vice Mayor Marvin Crist emphasized the importance of these operations in restoring safety and dignity to the community. “We’ve heard the community’s concerns about Sierra Highway loud and clear, and we’re taking action,” he said. Chief Rod Armalin added, “Our team is focused on proactive, community-led policing — that means listening to residents, identifying problem areas, and working strategically to resolve them.” The LPD continues to conduct proactive enforcement efforts throughout the city to ensure safer streets for all residents.
