Lehi’s New Civic Center Nears Completion
Lehi, UT — February 3, 2026 — Construction of Lehi’s new Civic Center is progressing well, with completion expected in early fall 2026. The 60,000-square-foot facility will house new City Council chambers, a community room, administrative offices, and a new library, offering increased space and enhancements. The project began in May 2024, and crews have recently installed the final steel beam for the main tower, marking a significant milestone. The Civic Center is designed to honor Lehi’s history, incorporating architectural elements reminiscent of the historic Lehi Tabernacle. City officials anticipate the new facility will open by the end of October 2026.
Temporary Library Location
During construction, the Lehi City Library has moved operations into a temporary location at the World Sports Partners Lehi Facility, located at 870 N. 100 East, Unit 110. The library continues to offer core programs, such as Story Time and Wiggle Worms, at this temporary site. Patrons are encouraged to check the library’s main website and social media for programming updates with location and times. The new library will feature 25,000 square feet, with added space for programming, support staff, quiet study rooms, and a recording studio/conference room for making podcasts and videos. City officials anticipate the new facility will open sometime in mid- to late 2025.
Community Impact
The Civic Center is expected to serve as a central hub for the community, providing modern facilities and honoring Lehi’s rich history. The project reflects the city’s commitment to growth and modernization while preserving its heritage. Residents can look forward to a state-of-the-art facility that will enhance community engagement and services.
