Life Sciences Leaders Gather Downtown

On Tuesday morning, civic and industry leaders met in downtown Raleigh for the Life Sciences Outlook: Wake County and the Research Triangle 2026 event. Hosted in partnership with regional economic development groups, the forum focused on growth across biotech, pharmaceuticals and advanced manufacturing.

Panelists discussed workforce pipelines, lab space demand and the Triangle’s national competitiveness. With continued population growth and major corporate investments in the region, the sector remains one of Raleigh’s strongest economic drivers.

USA Baseball Tournament Begins Today

Also beginning today, the USA Baseball National High School Invitational returns to the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary. The nationally recognized tournament runs March 25–28 and brings elite high school teams from across the country to the Triangle.

The event is expected to draw visiting families, scouts and college recruiters, providing a tourism boost to the greater Raleigh area during the final stretch of March.

State Training Event Held in Raleigh

At the Steve Troxler Agricultural Sciences Building on Reedy Creek Road, the North Carolina Department of Agriculture is hosting its March 2026 Registered Technician training session today. The one-day certification program supports pesticide and structural pest control professionals statewide.

Check-in began early this morning, with participants completing required coursework and credential updates.

Raleigh Relays Up Next

Looking ahead to the weekend, NC State will host the annual Raleigh Relays from March 26–28 at Paul Derr Track. The collegiate track and field meet regularly attracts top programs from across the Southeast and beyond.

With business development forums, national sports competitions and statewide training programs all converging, Raleigh closes out March with steady activity across multiple sectors.
