Economic Expansion and New Businesses
Manteca is witnessing substantial growth, with several new businesses and developments underway. The city has attracted major retailers, including WinCo and Trader Joe’s, and is in discussions with a third supermarket chain. Infrastructure and Transit Improvements
The city is also focusing on infrastructure improvements. The Manteca Transit Center, located at 220 Moffat Boulevard, serves as the primary public transit hub, featuring five bus bays and serving as the base for Manteca Transit. The center is set to expand with the addition of an Altamont Corridor Express (ACE) commuter rail platform along the Union Pacific rail line by 2026, as part of the Merced Extension project. This expansion is expected to improve connectivity and provide more transportation options for the community.
