NASCAR Thrills, M3F Fest and Art Festival Draw Big Weekend Crowds in Phoenix

Phoenix had a packed weekend as major sporting events and festivals brought thousands of residents and visitors out across the Valley.

NASCAR Weekend at Phoenix Raceway

The Straight Talk Wireless 500 took over Phoenix Raceway in Avondale on Sunday, March 8. The NASCAR Cup Series race marked the fourth event of the 2026 season and ran 312 laps on the one-mile oval.

Ryan Blaney captured the win after a competitive afternoon that saw multiple lead changes and strong runs from several top drivers. The race drew a large crowd and continued Phoenix Raceway’s role as a key stop on the national motorsports calendar.

M3F Fest Returns to Steele Indian School Park

Music fans also gathered in central Phoenix for M3F Fest, held March 7 and 8 at Steele Indian School Park. The two-day festival featured a full lineup of national and emerging artists across multiple stages.

Organizers highlighted the festival’s community focus, with proceeds supporting local charities. Attendees enjoyed food vendors, art installations and a family-friendly atmosphere as spring event season ramps up in the city.

High Street Art Festival Draws Shoppers and Families

In north Phoenix, the High Street Art Festival ran March 7 and 8, bringing together local artists, craftspeople and live performers. The event featured booths along High Street along with food vendors and entertainment throughout the weekend.

Residents browsed handmade goods, paintings and home décor while enjoying mild early March weather. The festival added to a busy lineup of outdoor events across metro Phoenix.

With racing, live music and neighborhood festivals all happening at once, the first full weekend of March showcased the variety of events that define spring in the Valley.
