Oklahoma City storm cleanup: June 22 debris on July bulky-waste days
Oklahoma City OK – For OKC neighborhoods mapped for June 22 storm debris, set storm piles out by 6 a.m. on your next July bulky-waste day—check the map first.
Oklahoma City residents with tree and limb damage from the June 22, 2026 severe weather event should know this change for July: for storm-debris neighborhoods identified on the City’s map, the debris is handled on the next regular July bulky-waste day.
Step 1: Check the impacted-area map first
The City says you should not assume eligibility. Only neighborhoods shown in green on the map are part of this June 22 storm-debris pickup plan. City guidance describes the impacted area generally as south of N 192nd Street and north of S 164th Street between County Line Road and Douglas Boulevard, with some additional scattered areas between S 89th Street and S 29th Street from Post Road to Indian Meridian.
Before you set out anything: look up your neighborhood on the City’s storm-debris map at okc.gov/debris (linked from the City’s storm-debris guidance).
Step 2: Set storm debris out by 6 a.m. on your scheduled July bulky day
For households in the green-mapped neighborhoods, OKC asks residents to set all debris at the curb by 6 a.m. on their next regular bulky waste day in July. The City also says you won’t be fined for early set-out and won’t be charged excess bulky waste fees due to the size of your storm debris pile.
Step 3: Follow the right storm-debris sorting rules
OKC says to separate storm debris (like tree limbs and fencing) from regular bulky items such as carpeting, furniture, or appliances. If a bulky pile is commingled (storm debris mixed with regular bulky waste), the City warns it can lead to excess bulky waste fees.
Step 4: Limb size rule (and what not to set out)
Limb length: City guidance says tree limbs should be cut into sections of 10 feet or shorter.
No bags: The City specifically instructs residents to not set any bags out with bulky waste. More broadly, OKC’s bulky-waste rules say include bagged waste is not allowed; bagged items must go in your Big Blue cart or be taken to an appropriate disposal option (per City guidance).
Step 5: Confirm your next July pickup date with “My Trash Day”
To find your exact next bulky-waste pickup date, use OKC’s My Trash Day interactive schedule. City guidance notes the My Trash Day map is for regular collection schedules, and that severe-weather operational updates may be posted separately.
One more caution for businesses and nonprofits
OKC’s storm-debris guidance says commercial properties—including businesses, churches, schools, nonprofits, and other organizations—aren’t eligible for curbside pickup by the City and are responsible for their own debris collection and disposal.
Bottom line: If your neighborhood is in the green area on the City map, set storm debris curbside by 6 a.m. on your next regular July bulky-waste day, cut limbs to 10 feet or shorter, keep storm debris separated from regular bulky items, and don’t put bagged waste out as bulky. Then confirm your date in My Trash Day.
