Wrong-way crash on the Parkway kills two
State police say two drivers were killed early Friday after a wrong-way crash on the Garden State Parkway in Paramus, near milepost 163.4.

According to the preliminary investigation, a Honda traveling north in the southbound lanes collided head-on with a Toyota SUV around 2:27 a.m. Both drivers, a 55-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman from Newark, died from their injuries.

A 20-year-old passenger from Pompton Plains riding in the Toyota suffered moderate injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital. Several southbound lanes were closed for hours during the investigation but had reopened by late morning.
