Millbrook Magnet High School moved through a Code Red lockdown and later returned to normal operations after police located a student with a loaded gun on campus. Authorities said the student was taken into custody and no one was hurt, but the incident rattled families and brought a wave of early pickups.

2) Tractor-trailer plunges off overpass, ramp temporarily closed

A tractor-trailer driver was taken to the hospital after the vehicle went over a concrete barrier on an Interstate 87 ramp above I-440 and fell into a wooded area below. Police said the crash prompted a closure of the overpass ramp for several hours as crews responded, assessed hazards, and cleared the scene.
