Between midnight and 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, 11 vehicles were set ablaze in five different areas along the Highway 87 corridor. This brings the total number of vehicle fires under investigation to 24. City Council Delays Mobile Home Rent Increase
The San Jose City Council voted 10-1 to postpone a proposed 10% rent increase for mobile home spaces until fall 2026. Beach Hazards Warning Issued for San Jose Area
The National Weather Service has issued a Beach Hazards Statement for the San Jose area, effective from 9 p.m. PST Wednesday through 9 a.m. PST Friday. The warning includes an increased risk of sneaker waves and strong rip currents, with breaking waves expected to reach 14 to 19 feet. Residents and visitors are advised to stay off jetties, piers, rocks, and other waterside infrastructure, remain out of the water, and avoid turning their backs on the ocean.
