Schools spotlight Black History Month and STEM

Across Seagoville campuses, Dallas ISD is highlighting Black History Month with a districtwide theme and campus activities that celebrate local and national leaders.

Families are also being invited to the district’s STEM Expo on Saturday, February 14, at Fair Park, where students can explore hands-on science and technology exhibits and learn about future careers. Transportation and logistics details are being shared through campus channels.

Seagoville High School’s calendar also highlights a Facebook Live “Academic Partnering – Parent Support” session during the week of February 9, aimed at helping families connect with resources and stay informed about student progress.

Support for local businesses

The Seagoville Economic Development Corporation continues to promote its grant programs designed to refresh storefronts and encourage new investment, particularly in the historic downtown area.

Through its facade and downtown destination grants, the corporation can reimburse a portion of qualified exterior improvements, helping business owners upgrade signs, lighting, and building fronts while preserving the small-town character of the city.
