Seattle’s Midwinter Warm-Up and Upcoming Events
Seattle’s Midwinter Warm-Up
Seattle is experiencing an unusual midwinter warm-up, with temperatures climbing into the upper 50s and possibly reaching 60°F this week. This unseasonal warmth is due to a ridge of high pressure settling over the region, bringing mostly cloudy and foggy skies. Residents are enjoying a taste of spring in the heart of winter, a phenomenon some are calling “springuary.”
