Sheboygan draft Comprehensive Plan open house July 9—housing density & transportation
Sheboygan’s draft Comprehensive Plan open house is July 9 (6–8 p.m.) at Paradigm—comment on housing density, transportation, housing types, environmental priorities.
Sheboygan residents are invited to a public open house on Thursday, July 9, 2026, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at Paradigm (1202 N 8th Street) to review and provide feedback on the City of Sheboygan’s draft Comprehensive Plan update.
The City’s Planning and Development Department partnered with Bay Lake Regional Planning Commission to update the long-term planning guide for growth, development, housing, transportation, land use, and environmental priorities.
What the Comprehensive Plan does
Sheboygan’s Comprehensive Plan is the City’s long-term planning tool—used to help inform development and economic growth—updated periodically to reflect community input and changing conditions.
What you can do at the July 9 open house
According to the City’s event notice, attendees will have several ways to review materials, ask questions, and leave input:
- Review large-format maps and plan materials with staff available to answer questions.
- Provide comments directly on maps and planning narratives.
- Use topic-based feedback stations focused on: housing density, transportation, preferred housing types, and environmental priorities.
How to prepare before you go
The City encourages residents to review the updated plan online in advance, then come to the open house ready to ask questions and add targeted feedback—especially on the areas reflected in the station topics.
