According to preliminary details, officers responded to a late-night 911 call and forced entry into a bedroom where they encountered a man allegedly holding two knives. A Taser was deployed before an officer discharged their service weapon. The man later died at a local hospital.
Under state law, the Attorney General’s office reviews incidents where police actions may have caused a civilian’s death. The investigation is ongoing.
