Hospitals recruiting traveling operating room nurses

Area healthcare providers are also active on regional job boards, with several new postings in the last two days for traveling operating room nurses based in Siloam Springs. Recent listings advertise 13-week assignments starting in mid to late February, with weekly compensation packages in roughly the upper $1,700 to $2,000 range depending on the agency. The roles highlight ongoing demand for specialized nurses in surgical settings and suggest that local facilities are preparing for a busy spring schedule. 

Regional economy continues to climb

On the economic front, a new national ranking released this week places the broader Northwest Arkansas metro, which includes Siloam Springs, among the top 10 best-performing large U.S. regions. The report cites strong job and wage growth, along with expanding high-tech employment, and notes that the metro’s gross domestic product has grown faster than both the state and national averages in recent years. For Siloam Springs, that momentum supports continued investment downtown and helps underpin demand for new housing and local services.
