UDOT says new Dry Creek Pkwy/I-15 interchange opens July 10 (8 a.m.)
Spanish Fork UT – UDOT says ramps at Dry Creek Parkway on I-15 open July 10 at 8 a.m., changing commuter access—and construction closures continue.
UDOT says the new Dry Creek Parkway interchange on I-15 will open to drivers beginning Friday, July 10, 2026 at 8 a.m. for the Springville–Spanish Fork area—bringing new ramp access patterns at Dry Creek Parkway (4800 South).
UDOT also warns this is not a full project finish. Crews are still working on the corridor (including widening), and drivers should expect congestion and additional closures even after the July 10 opening.
What UDOT says opens July 10 at 8 a.m.
UDOT says that starting Friday, July 10 at 8 a.m., the ramps to and from I-15 at Dry Creek Parkway (4800 South) are scheduled to open.
- Drivers will be able to enter northbound I-15.
- Drivers can exit both northbound and southbound I-15 at the new interchange.
- Drivers will not be able to enter southbound I-15 from the new interchange.
What to expect right away after the opening
UDOT says daily lane closures are planned in the area through Sunday, July 12. Because crews are still widening Dry Creek Parkway, the agency also says drivers may experience congestion near the new interchange, and it encourages avoiding the interchange during peak travel times until construction is complete.
For the latest, UDOT points drivers to the agency’s Traffic updates and app for changing closure and lane-shift information.
Practical commuter guidance for Spanish Fork-area drives
- Update your route choices. Plan around the fact that you can’t enter southbound I-15 from the new Dry Creek Parkway interchange.
- Allow extra time. UDOT expects congestion and construction impacts during peak hours.
- Check before you go. Review UDOT Traffic updates before commuting later in the year.
