Wellington’s Free Back-to-School Party Set for Aug. 7

Wellington’s free Back-to-School Party in the Park is scheduled for 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, at the Wellington Amphitheater, 12100 Forest Hill Boulevard.

New this year is a Children’s Market featuring approximately 30 youth vendors. The Village says the market will give children an opportunity to sell products and learn about interacting with customers in a supportive setting.

Family activities planned

The event will include bounce houses and inflatable games, face painting and glitter tattoos, DJ music and dancing, costumed character entertainment, an art activity, a trackless train and a prize wheel with back-to-school items and other giveaways.

Wellington also lists three food trucks for the event: Sizzle N Fry, La Nostra Pizza and Papi Churro. The Village says the food-truck list is subject to change.

PBSO and fire-rescue vehicles

A Touch-a-Truck display will feature vehicles from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office and Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.
