Wilsonville Daily Brief: Events, Library Highlights, and Local Real Estate – February 7, 2026
Wilsonville, OR — February 7, 2026 — Community events, library programs, and a real estate summit highlight a busy, mostly cloudy Saturday in town.
Weekend kicks off with Lunar New Year and more
Wilsonville heads into Saturday with a full slate of community events. At the library and community center, the Winter Reading Challenge, a citywide Black History Month scavenger hunt, and a journal fundraiser all continue today, offering low-key ways to get out of the house.
Families can start the morning on the field with Soccer Shots youth sessions, then head indoors for Space Talks at the library, where volunteers from an aviation museum will dig into interstellar objects and what they tell us about our solar system.
Later in the afternoon, Series Saturdays brings book‑inspired fun for kids, and a Lunar New Year celebration at the community center promises music, activities, and time with neighbors.
Library highlights Black History Month
The Wilsonville Public Library is leaning into Black History Month with displays, a scavenger hunt, and a lineup of free programs throughout February. Yesterday’s screening of the documentary “John Lewis: Good Trouble” kicked off a month of films and talks focused on civil rights and African American history.
Coming up this week are virtual and in-person presentations on historic figures, along with additional film screenings later in the month. All events are free, making it easy to drop in between errands or after school.
Real estate and business notes
Real estate activity remains steady around town. New and updated listings posted Friday include a three-bedroom home in a newer neighborhood on Southwest Larkspur Terrace and a two-bedroom townhome on Southwest Courtside Drive, both reflecting the mix of single-family and attached housing in Wilsonville.
Just off Interstate 5, the Holiday Inn is hosting the 3rd Annual WREIO Summit today, an all-day event focused on building wealth and long-term stability through real estate. Organizers are drawing attendees from around the region, adding a modest boost to local hotels and restaurants.
Weather snapshot
After a relatively mild, mostly cloudy Friday, Wilsonville is expected to see cooler temperatures today, with highs in the mid-50s and rain moving in later. Showers should taper by Sunday, but skies will likely stay mostly gray, so plan layers and a good rain jacket if you are out for events or errands.
