Wilton Manors advances water and sewer upgrades as summer construction approaches
Wilton Manors is preparing several water and sewer infrastructure projects as the city approaches anticipated mid-summer 2026 construction, including a water-main replacement on NW 3rd Avenue and a major lift-station upgrade at 2109 Wilton Drive.
The city’s active capital projects update also says it is assessing 88 stormwater outfalls and developing specifications and bidding documents for inline check valves and related work. The projects could affect water reliability, sewer service, odor control and flood resilience, while creating possible construction disruptions for nearby residents and businesses.
Water-main work on NW 3rd Avenue
Wilton Manors West Phase 1 is listed as a water-main replacement project on NW 3rd Avenue. The city says construction is anticipated in mid-summer 2026.
The project listing does not establish an exact construction start date, the specific blocks that could be affected or any detours. It also does not establish that the work is already under construction.
$450,000 lift-station upgrade
A separate project is described as a $450,000 lift-station upgrade at 2109 Wilton Drive. The planned work includes electrical upgrades, an odor-control system, replacement of internal piping and fittings, and replacement of 1,600 linear feet of existing six-inch force main.
Those components address several parts of the city’s sewer system, including the lift station’s electrical equipment, odor-control measures and the force main that carries wastewater. The project listing identifies the scope of work but does not provide a final contract award or a confirmed construction schedule.
Stormwater assessments and budget timing
The city is also evaluating 88 stormwater outfalls. It is developing specifications and bidding documents for inline check valves and related improvements. The update does not say that this work will eliminate flooding; it describes an assessment and preparation of documents for future work.
The city’s FY2026-27 proposed budget provides the current fiscal planning context for city services and capital work. The document identifies August 25, 2026, as a scheduled date for consideration.
That date is a proposed-budget decision point, not evidence that the budget has been adopted. The project update likewise does not establish final awards, exact work limits or traffic-control plans. Residents and businesses near the listed project areas will need those details before the practical effects of construction are clear.
