MAC Wrestling Championship Draws Crowds Downtown

Rocket Arena hosted the NCAA Division I Men’s Wrestling Championship from March 19 through March 21, bringing athletes and fans from across the country to downtown Cleveland. The national tournament delivered three days of high-level competition and a noticeable boost for nearby restaurants, hotels and businesses.

The event is one of several major collegiate championships Cleveland is hosting this year, reinforcing the city’s reputation as a go-to destination for large sporting events.

Fireball Spotted Over Northeast Ohio

Skywatchers across the region were treated to a rare sight this week after a bright meteor streaked across the sky over Northeast Ohio. The fireball broke into fragments over Valley City, about 22 miles southwest of Cleveland.

Videos quickly circulated online, with many residents reporting a flash followed by a visible trail. Experts say such fireballs are uncommon but not unheard of in the region. No injuries or damage were reported.

Home + Remodeling Expo Fills I-X Center

The Cleveland Home + Remodeling Expo continues through Sunday at the I-X Center. The three-day event, running March 20–22, features local contractors, design experts and home improvement vendors.

Highlights include celebrity appearances, live demonstrations and exhibits showcasing everything from tiny homes to spring landscaping ideas. Organizers say the expo offers homeowners a chance to compare services, gather ideas and connect directly with professionals as the spring renovation season begins.
