CBO’s July Budget Review Is Listed, but Deficit Figures Are Not Included

The Congressional Budget Office has listed a July 2026 edition of its Monthly Budget Review, the recurring report that tracks federal receipts, spending and the deficit or surplus for the previous month and the fiscal year to date. The listing does not provide the July figures for the deficit, receipts or outlays.

The latest completed review, published July 9, covered June 2026 and estimated that the federal deficit reached $1.4 trillion during the first nine months of fiscal year 2026. That was $35 billion higher than the comparable period of fiscal year 2025. Over the same period, revenues increased by $142 billion, or 4 percent, while outlays rose by $178 billion, or 3 percent.

The July review is expected to provide the next monthly accounting update for the federal budget, including July results and fiscal-year-to-date totals. The Congressional Budget Office identifies the report as a recurring publication based on information from the U.S. Department of the Treasury. The July outcome, including its comparison with July 2025 and any updated full-year fiscal 2026 projection, is not included in the current listing.
