Coast Guard sets three-hour safety zone on Rainy Lake for August 8 fireworks

The U.S. Coast Guard has finalized a temporary safety zone on Rainy Lake for a fireworks display scheduled for August 8, 2026, near Ranier Beach Park in Ranier, Minnesota. The restriction will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. local time.

The fireworks will be launched from a barge approximately 250 yards northwest of the park. The safety zone will cover navigable waters within 200 yards of the barge. No vessel or person may enter the zone without permission from the Captain of the Port or a designated representative.
