Justice Department Announces Nationwide Tren de Aragua Crackdown With More Than 25 Defendants Charged
The Justice Department announced charges against more than 25 defendants in a nationwide crackdown tied to investigations by Homeland Security Task Forces involving the Tren de Aragua criminal organization.

The Justice Department announced the enforcement action on May 11, 2026, and updated its release on May 14. The department identified investigations in at least six federal districts: Colorado, Southern Florida, Northern Indiana, Middle Tennessee, Western Tennessee and Eastern Washington.
