NFL labor talks with referees break down as league prepares for possible replacement officials

Negotiations between the National Football League and the NFL Referees Association have broken off amid an impasse, putting the league’s officiating workforce on an uncertain path before the current collective bargaining agreement expires May 31, 2026.
