Louisiana DOTD scheduled a full closure of the LA 16 bridge south of I-12 in Denham Springs for repairs, with a detour through Aug. 5, weather permitting. Reopening has not been officially confirmed.
The West Colyell Creek Bridge on Burgess Road reopened around 10 a.m. July 3 after Livingston Parish crews installed temporary striping and officials addressed contractor equipment during a dispute over liquidated damages.
Walker is included in Livingston Parish’s adopted hazard plan, which remains under FEMA review and could guide future flood, drainage and mitigation priorities.
