A federal judge has extended a pause on the proposed Paramount-Warner Bros. Discovery transaction as a California-led coalition of states challenges the deal on antitrust grounds.
The United Kingdom said it would not intervene in Paramount’s proposed acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery, but a coalition of U.S. states is still seeking to block the nearly $111 billion transaction.
Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery will remain separate as 12 states challenge the proposed merger, delaying any closing or integration into 2027.
