The operation, authorized by the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors, involves multiple agencies, including the Sheriff’s Gangs/Narcotics Division, Specialized Enforcement Division, and local law enforcement.
Details of the Operation
Between January 19 and January 25, 2026, investigators served eight search warrants and conducted proactive patrols in the High Desert and surrounding areas. The operation resulted in:
- Seizure of 33 firearms, including three ghost guns.
- 15 felony arrests.
- Over three pounds of suspected methamphetamine and approximately one pound of fentanyl seized.
The Sheriff’s Department emphasizes that ‘Operation Consequences’ is a multi-month initiative designed to curb violent crime, disrupt and dismantle targeted criminal street gangs, and locate and arrest individuals illegally possessing, manufacturing, and trafficking firearms.
