San Angelo News Briefs for February 3, 2026
Road Construction on Edmund Boulevard and West 29th Street
San Angelo residents should anticipate lane restrictions on Edmund Boulevard and West 29th Street starting Monday, February 2, through mid-February. The construction zone spans from Howard Street to the North Concho River bridge, with one lane open in each direction. Motorists are advised to expect heavy traffic, especially during school drop-off and pick-up times between North Van Buren Street and Louise Drive. It’s recommended to exercise caution, reduce speed, and consider alternate routes when possible.
Closure of Texas Burger on Knickerbocker Road

The building now stands empty, with all signage removed. Texas Burger, a West Texas-based chain founded in 1967, continues to operate locations in Midland, Odessa, and Andrews.
