In-custody death reported at James A. Musick Facility
Orange County sheriff’s officials said a 54-year-old woman housed at the James A. Musick Facility in Irvine was found unresponsive on Friday, Feb. 27. Deputies and medical personnel attempted life-saving measures, and she was pronounced dead at the facility. Officials said there were no preliminary signs of suspicious circumstances, with the final cause of death pending an independent autopsy and toxicology testing. The Orange County District Attorney’s Office is expected to investigate, and the Sheriff’s Department said it will conduct an in-custody death review.

UC Irvine men’s basketball edges UC Santa Barbara at home
