Mesa police say an employee of the Arizona Attorney General’s Office was involved in the shooting death of Maria Lewis, a 32-year-old mother of seven, outside a home in the Ellsworth and Ray roads area early Saturday, Feb. 28. Police have said the circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation, and they have not announced any arrests or charges.
