It was a packed weekend across the Las Vegas Valley, with major sports events, college basketball tournaments, and headline concerts drawing crowds from near and far.

UFC 326 Fills T-Mobile Arena

UFC 326 took over T-Mobile Arena on Saturday, March 7, bringing nearly 19,500 fans to Paradise for the highly anticipated Holloway vs. Oliveira 2 rematch. The event generated more than $8.3 million at the gate, reinforcing Las Vegas’ status as a global fight capital.

Several fighters earned six-figure performance bonuses, and the card capped off another high-profile sports weekend on the Strip.

Conference Tournaments Take Over UNLV, Orleans Arena

March Madness energy is building locally as multiple conference tournaments are underway in the Las Vegas area.

The Mountain West Conference women’s basketball tournament runs March 7–10 at the Thomas & Mack Center on the UNLV campus. Meanwhile, both the West Coast Conference men’s and women’s tournaments are being held at Orleans Arena through March 10.

Championship week play is drawing alumni, students, and fans to Southern Nevada hotels and arenas, giving a late-winter boost to tourism.

Concert Crowds at Sphere and Beyond

Entertainment was just as strong. Illenium launched his Odyssey show at Sphere on March 7, pairing new music with the venue’s immersive visuals. The show added to a busy entertainment calendar that also included 311 Day at Dolby Live and Alice Cooper performing at Planet Hollywood on March 8.

With major sports and entertainment events stacked across the same weekend, Las Vegas once again demonstrated its ability to host simultaneous large-scale attractions without missing a beat.
